Purchase Discounts Help

Purchase discounts provide an automatic savings to all your customers if they order a certain amount of products (or more) from your store.

This page is used to define up to 15 different purchase discounts you wish active for your store. Purchase discounts automatically apply to all customer orders equal to or greater than the designated "order amount" and do not require the customer to enter any type of "code" to receive the discount.

The "Order Amount" fields below tell the store how much the customer has to order before a discount is to be given to them. The customer's total order amount is calculated as the total amount of all the products they order and does NOT include sales tax or shipping charges.

NOTE: if you do not want any purchase discounts active for your store, leave all the fields blank and click the UPDATE button at the bottom of the page.

If a customer's order total is $25, they won't receive a discount since they did NOT order an amount equal to or greater than one of the "Order Amounts" entered above.

If a customer's order total is $60, then purchase discount #1 will apply and they will receive a $4.50 discount.

If a customer's order total is $150, purchase discount #2 will apply and they will receive a $15.00 discount. The Percentage Saved of 10% is applied to the order total of $150 which results in a savings of $15.00. ($150 x 10% = $15.00).

If a customer order totals $980, then purchase discount #4 will apply and they will receive a $20 discount.

 
Things to Remember:
  • Purchase Discounts are applied to the total amount of the customer's order. This is the total amount of products ordered less any coupon savings. NOTE: this total is before sales taxes and shipping charges are added to the customer's order.
  • Be sure to enter "Order Amount Equal to or Greater Than" fields from lowest to highest. The store will use the first purchase discount it finds that meets the order amount requirement.
  • Order Amount fields must contain a valid positive number.
  • The maximum Order Amount you can enter into a field is 999,999.00.
  • Amounts Saved and Percentages Saved field must contain a valid positive number.
  • The maximum Amount Saved you can enter into a field is 999,999.00.
  • The maximum Percent Saved you can enter into a field is 100.00.
